The Day Before The Call
Something was already forming.
The day before, I was thinking about the forest nearby — how it might fit into the work, how we could bring it under our ambit, what that could look like. Just a thought. Unspoken. Not yet anything.
The next day, a completely unknown organisation called. Out of nowhere. To collaborate.
On exactly that.
I didn't tell them. That I'd been thinking about this the day before. That their call had arrived like a quiet answer to a question I hadn't even finished asking. I just — kept it to myself. Some things feel smaller the moment you say them out loud. This wasn't one to risk.
I don't know what to do with coincidences like this. I never fully believe them and I never fully dismiss them. They sit in a strange middle place — too specific to be random, too quiet to be a sign.
But something keeps pulling me forward. Not loudly. Not dramatically. Just a thought one day, an answer the next. A reassurance, not from a person, not from a plan — but from the direction itself.
This is the way.
Life works in incredible ways sometimes. Weird ones too.
Maybe those are the same thing.
